I'm doing something that I barely do nowadays. I actually go to kpopsecret tumblr. The site is where all the the bullshits happen or posted. But it is fun when you have nothing to do. So, I was scrolling and scrolling, until I found this particular post.

Its an anonymous post about a fan whom probably being called out for not buying her oppa's album. Not being able to afford to buy an album is a total bullshit, dearest butthurt fangirl. From this on, my English on this post probably start to failing. But, whatever.

Now, dear "poor" fangirl, I don't see any reason  why you can't afford to buy an original copy of  oppa's album. You can get a JOB. Instead of spending time all day long tweeting, reblogging or killing your brain cells on AllKpoops. No excuses.The fact that this fangirl even post her rant on tumblr, its mean that she own a computer and actually able to afford internet connection. Who are you kidding with? You have the luxury of computer and internet, yet you claim to be not able to afford oppa's album.

I think I've tired with the argument of real fan and fake fan. Somehow, fans need to realize, producing an album cost a lot. Technical aspect of producing pop music probably send you back to your "cave". I have no real experience, but trying to cut a part of song for my phone ringtone had give me some idea. Maybe I'm just technologically challenged, but how many of you can actually use Adobe Audition to its full capabilities? Probably none. So stop whining.

I want to rub more salt to this "poor" fangirl "wound. What if your oppa self-composed the songs on the album? Aren't you cheating your oppa off from his effort? Don't you love your oppa?

Stop being offended when being called out as a fake/bad fan. Your ripping off oppa from his efforts he put on the album. If you are not buying oppa's original album, you are surely a bad and fake fan.

Oppa don't love you. But oppa love your money (a lot).

Oppa would never look at you. But oppa is proud to see the biggest banner of his name.

Oppa won't hear you. But he would love to hear you singing and chanting along to his song.

Oppa won't talk to you. But he would ask you to keep on supporting him.

Does oppa care about you? Nah, he care about how his album is doing on the chart.

What does oppa want? Oppa want you to love him, attend his show, listen to his album, buy his album and send him some gifts. 

Remember, oppa is human and human is SELFISH.

The bad apples of Kpop: July 2012 edition

Two dramas in just one week. I guess Kpop land have been too peaceful that some Kpop gods or goddesses decided to throw in some drama. We're bored aren't we. Its all about the charting competition since everyone seem to be releasing new stuffs. SBS Inkigayo team somehow had been inspired to remove the ranking system, so that fangirl need to find other reason to stroke their ego.

Nichkhun and the T-Ara bitches. Honestly, I don't follow them. I don't listen to their songs or watch any of their performance/shows. All of sudden, there were breaking news at AKP about Nichkhun DUI followed by JYP statements regarding the matter to AKP and news about Nichkhun being dropped from Carribean Bay site or something. His activities are being put on hold. His apology (long ass tweet) somehow come out a little bit late. The damage is done. JYP seem to be neglecting Nichkhun even more. LOL. Okay. I don't bother to check on Hottest reaction. I expect it to be along the line of "I believe in oppa", "at least no one died" and "oppa is innocent". The generic delusional fangirl reaction that make us somehow question the fate of human kind in the next 5 years.

The T-Ara mess. The twitter drama and the bullying issue. But come on, this is showbiz. I don't think anyone is saint in the showbiz. Its all about who is more popular and more relevant in the showbiz scene. I hope fangirl understand this simple fact. For the T-Ara mess, I actually did scroll down to the comments section. It was hilarious. Poor Hwayoung, Poor etc, etc. I'm trying to understand you fangirl. I tried. Then, the bullying issue and ugh, the bonds between the members. Even blood related sisters known to back-stab each other. They are just friends for the sake of being in the same group. I even believe deep inside, they might just hate each other with passion. Don't even try to lie to me, I bet you had ever feeling jealous towards your bff.

For those bad apples of Kpop, I think BoA's comeback didn't get as much attention as it should be. It could be her last try out for Kpop because BoA's elements has never been Kpop. She more known as Jpop star rather than Kpop star in my opinion. Even BoA's international fans probably discover her from Jpop instead of Kpop.

Last words, Nichkhun can form trio with Kangin and Daesung, and Core Content Media board of directors, please send T-Ara to some Battle Royale camp. Those girls need to chop off each others head badly.

Review: Super Junior 6th Studio Album (Sexy, Free & Single)

I just started this blog and I already started to make review. I wonder where did I get the gut to make this review. But I feel like making the review since the album had just been released. No harm. This is not professional review. Oppa is save. For now.

The album is titled Sexy, Free & Single. Which I'm still figuring out the meaning and relation to Super Junior, E.L.F, album's concept and also songs in the album. As I'm writing this, I'm still listening to the album repeatedly to get the feel and of course enjoying it.

The album was released on July 1. For the whole last week of June, SM had been releasing teaser image of Super Junior member(s) by member(s). Lets look at them shall we,

To be honest, I'm puzzled at first when I saw the teaser image. But I enjoyed it of course. If it is not weird, it is not Super Junior. Some brilliant fan(s) some how found out the inspiration for the unique concept

roman paintings according to some fan(s) on twitter and tumblr. But it was thousand of posts ago, so it would be pain in the ass to track back. But the point here is that, the concept is inspired by those paintings.

I'm not expert in roman painting or anything such. But the painting remind me of western mythical creature/god. Such as Elf, Faerie, Nymph, Pixie, and Mermaid(Merman?). Oh, of course I didn't put Elf for no reason. The concept is related to Super Junior and E.L.F in my fangirl delusional mind. No need to slam me, I know E.L.F stand for EverLasting Friend (thank you). I'm talking about the concept here, oppa as mytical creature, in order to be closer to fans (E.L.F or here we should stylize it as elf). Its a dedication to fans in most unique way. Yay, for such a great concept from SM. (LOL)

Enough about the concept, I should be doing album review instead of babbling about the concept. Its no business of mine to raking my brain on why oppa resembling roman paintings.

Here goes the review, track by track:

Track 1: Sexy, Free & Single

Fans has been speculating about the song's catch phrase as "Sexy, Free and Single I'm ready to Bingo" or "Sexy, Free and Single I'm ready to mingle". They got it wrong (blame it on oppa's Engrish), as it was clarified as "Sexy, Free and Single, and I'm ready too, Bingo" here. Not complaining, I'm gonna sing the song whatever the lyric is. Bring it on.

I'm going to be honest, at first, I have hard time to feel the song, then, after listening it for the third time, I fall in love with the song. It a song that I want to listening while sipping on frappucino or while shopping for new summer dress. I'm being serious here by the way. The song have the perfect vibe and ambiance for such place okay.

About the music, I can't even read music note properly, who am I kidding. But I'm glad that the song is not being overly autotuned. (Shit that YG bring to Kpop).

Track 2: 너로부터 (From U)

This song is dedicated to E.L.F. Okay, so this song is specially written for Super Junior fanclub (E.L.F). I feel the love oppa, I CAN FEEL IT. 

Other that that, I can't think of anything else of this track. But, only listen to this track if you're Super Junior hardcore fan. Else, you can't feel it, at all. 

Track 3: 걸리버 (Gulliver)

Gulliver, Gulliver, Gulliver... The beginning of this song almost sound like chant. It is spooky and kind of scary at some point. But, hey this is Super Junior, if it is not weird, it is not them. 

This track also have some hip hop flavor. There is some weird camera click sound in the background. This song is perfect for any new E.L.F acceptance ceremony.

Track 4: 언젠가는 (Someday)

The soothing piano melodies at the beginning. That remind me of some forgotten love song. Their voice is raw which is pleasing. This track make me feel like crying and smiling in the same time. 

The classic slow track in kpop album. It is not bad. But unfortunately, I have the feeling that this song gonna be another underrated song. But, this gonna be favorite song during concert. I almost see how they gonna perform this song on stage. The emotion and the love. Perfect song.  

Track 5: NOW 

A pop-rock track. Somehow there is some random rap. But this is a pop album. Genre fusion is normal. I love how this track show Super Junior versatility in pop genre. 

Track 6:  Rockstar

Unlike the title, this song is not a rock song. Its a noisy song. A fusion of techno-pop-trot-dance. A lot of engrish that is probably make you cringe. Example: Oh my god, I'm so hot. 

But this song make me feel like dancing and unconsciously singing along to the Engrish lyrics. There is some robotic chanting I'm a rockstar through out the song, which probably gonna be sampled by some DJ in mashing up songs. (who know) 

Track 7: 달콤씁쓸 (Bittersweet)

From a dance track, suddenly it is a ballad/slow track. Apart from weird scratching unnecessary sound effect, their voice is perfect. 

Like the track title, I feel the bittersweet feeling that they're portraying. The beautiful, sad yet calming feel. Like sipping on coffee. Recommended track.

Track 8: 빠삐용 (Butterfly)

A cheap dance track. Skip. Not really worth your attention. Press that next button. 

Track 9: 머문다 (Daydream)

Give me the piano sheet for this song. I want to play it on the piano. When you feel lonely at night, this song is perfect. Never mind it is titled Daydream. But this song feel right when you listen to it at night. 

This song is probably about lost, broken love. I haven't checked the lyrics translation. But that is the feel that I get from the song. Overall, another recommended track. 

Track 10: 헤어지는 날 (A 'Good' bye)

The mellow melody. A very sad and slow beginning. I wonder this song is a "goodbye" song before Super Junior hiatus. The sudden powerful part. 

This song perfectly define the dramatic scene of  A 'Good' bye. The uncertain feeling after the "goodbye". This is, another track for E.L.F I guess. 

Overall, this album is better than the previous album. But I still miss the epicness of Super Junior previous songs like 'U', 'Miracle' and 'Marry U'. The slow song in this album gonna be underrated like always. But, I can see how songs in the album suited more for concert. The weekly korean music show won't do justice. Last word, this album doesn't really bringing out the best of Super Junior. 

Fangirling vs Real Life

In my first post, I have mentioned about me having real life. My real life is too consuming that I almost have no time to fangirl. I don't know if this is a good thing or not. But I missed fangirling. I want to get excited when oppa tweeted something. Or when oppa updated his blog. Or just any performance.

The thrill and excitement. The anticipation. The incoherent thought and feelings. Yes. The craziness, and the dedication. Fangirl living on the other side of the world experience it worst. Staying up in the odd hours to catch up with the idols performance on music show or the "live concert" through twitter or video streaming. It is worth it. I think. I mean, we the fan are satisfied, and that is all that matter.

Celebrity Named Choi Siwon

Choi Siwon? Google him. But if you're a Kpop fan, and you need to Google Choi Siwon you're probably: (a)newbie in Kpop (b)newbie in Kdrama (c)You're just ignorant. But I'm not going to judge you on that. Its Siwon that is being judged here. I'm not his biggest fan or no.1 hater.But he is really an interesting person.

Fangirling for life

The fangirling business. How should I start it. I've been fangirling for about more than 10 years. It is something that I have to do. Its part of my life. Without fangirling, my life is probably missing few colors.

I have real life. Yes, of course I do. I'm also aware about the non-existence of real life on other fangirls. But being fangirl doesn't mean that I need to sacrifice my life. For this blog, I want to write my non stop spazzing on idols and also my guide on fangirling.

Kpop is not only about the music. Its about the image and some youth ideology. It is also an alternative to local music and also American pop music. It is also about asian pride. Asian version of cool music and image.

There is no wrong or right. But there are boundaries, rules and some moral ground that one need to understand. Fangirling is our right. So, we need to do our best to keep that right. Appreciate the right and protect it.

Fangirl have so many way on discovering their idols, for me its from tv. I watch tv when I have no more books to read. When I've finish all my homework. I just happen to be on the right channel, right time and the right music. There, I got hooked on my idol. Search for them in the internet. But mind you, about 10 years ago, internet is slow and virus is just everywhere. Thank god for the technology that never stop evolving, today, I can just access my idol on my smartphone. I don't need to hear the dial tone whenever I need to access the internet.

Fangirl in this era is very lucky to have fast internet connection and varieties of good and cheap computer. Google your idol name and there goes millions of search result. Everything is there to be enjoyed.

I'm running out of words and idea. I should just stop here for now.
